Acacias are called wattles in Australia and Acacias in Africa and the Americas.

You shall make poles of acacia wood and overlay them with gold.

The Egyptians used acacia as a fixative for ink and to coat the bandages of mummies.  Acacia was also used for its soothing properties on inflamed mucous membrances and to treat coughs and catarrh.
